Lady MacDonald is hands down my favourite hike in the Bow Valley. Offering a nice steady elevation gain of 1200m it is challenging however manageable even for a beginner hiker. If you don't make it to the summit that is ok as there is a stunning view point half way that may be enough for some. You will be rewarded with a panoramic west facing valley view of Canmore and many mountain ranges including the Three sisters from the first view point. If you make it to the abandoned helicopter pad your mind will be blown!:) I would suggest taking hiking poles for your trip and if you are hiking in shoulder season a pair of yak tracks will come in handy!
